It started right up with no problems! Who knew? I’m happy I didn’t throw it out. So if it stops working for reasons uknown, let it rest for a month and then try it again. This took clear sharp pictures and was easy to use until it stopped working exactly one year after I purchased it. Weve taken pictures at the house with quite a bit of light and they look good, but in a school gym (using the gyms lights all on, not in the dark) for our childs show the pix had been horrible. There was sufficient light in the pix but blurry and incredibly grainy. Weve taken shots outdoors during the day and it works excellent. Computers treat it as another hard drive using the included USB cable (plugs into USB port) so it is very easy to download and send pix to whomever (there is also included software to check out and edit the actual pix plus it may cut the pix size in half whenever saved through the software). It came with the internal 8mb flashcard but you really have to update to collect any of the greatest format pix. we bought a 64 MB flash card and it holds about 78 highest quality pix. All in all, great camara for the price but you might want to update (you get what you pay for) for better reliability in varying light conditions. Plus, this can burn through standard batteries like a wild fire. Rechargeable batteries helped alot! They were the Quest rechargeables (comes with a battery charger). I tried different light settings, focus configurations, but nothing transformed. I even tried placing the 3615 on a tri-pod and taking advantage of the timer.
